Mohammed Hijab Caught LYING About Killing Apostates
Man Tortured, Burned, and Killed for "Blasphemy" by Muslims in Pakistan
Aneesh, an ex-Muslim atheist and rational thinker from Tamil Nadu, was arrested by officers from Kuniamuthur Police Station (B14), Coimbatore on 29th December 2021 for posting memes about Islam.
The next day police presented him to the courts and filed charges for blasphemy. His bail applications were rejected twice within a week. Aneesh had created a few memes to educate people about Islam and shared them on social media.
It is highly likely that his arrest was incited and influenced by Islamists (Islamic fundamentalists) as Islamists have openly threatened him several times on social media, even though the arrest was recorded as a self-inflicted action by the police.
Prior to his arrest, Aneesh lived with his wife and 3-year-old daughter. It should also be noted that he arrest took place in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where an ex-Muslim activist, Farook, was killed by Islamists 5 years ago.
Now Aneesh's life has been endangered by this arrest, which was carried out at the instigation of Islamists. Following his arrest, his identity and location were exposed—endangering the safety of both Aneesh and his family.
Islamists are increasingly stifling the voices of Ex-Muslims in India, a democratic country, by using blasphemy laws to uphold Islamic blasphemy codes and extremism in the spirit of ISIS and other extremist countries such as Saudi Arabia.
Freedom of expression is the freedom that safeguards every freedom, and thus it is crucial that it be defended. Those who value democracy and freedom of expression as well as progressive causes, are urged to use their voices to call for the immediate release of Aneesh. Democracy and freedom of expression should not be subordinated to Islamic terrorism and its threats.
The Government of Tamil Nadu, the government of India and the country's law enforcement, should not bow down before Islamic extremism.
We request Hon. M.K.Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, India, Government of India and C. Sylendra Babu, Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, India, to immediately release Aneesh from the detention and drop all the charges, and to ensure the freedom of expression is protected in Tamil Nadu and India.
